Create and Manage Announcements in Employee Referrals

The Announcements feature allows Admins to share updates directly with Talent Scouts within the Employee Referrals platform.

Announcements can be sent immediately, scheduled for later, or saved as drafts.

Access Announcements

  1.  In the left navigation menu of the Referrals platform, click Announcements.
  2.  The Announcements dashboard displays existing announcements and options to create or manage announcements.

The Announcements page includes the following tabs:

  • All (default)
  • Published
  • Draft
  • Scheduled

Create a New Announcement

  1.  Select New Announcement.
  2.  Enter a Title.
  3.  Enter the Body text.
  4.  Select a Language, if applicable.
  5.  Choose your target audience. If segmentation is configured for your account, you can select a specific segment.
  6.  Choose how and when to send the announcement.
  7.  Save or publish.

Character Limits

  • The Subject line supports up to 200 characters.
  • The Body field supports up to 10,000 characters.

Select Your Audience

By default, announcements are sent to all Talent Scouts.

If segmentation has been configured for your account, you can choose to send an announcement to a specific segment instead.

Important

Segmentation is available only if User Groups have been set up for your account.

  • If User Groups are not configured, the segmentation option will not appear.
  • Segmentation does not use Location or Department fields.
  • If no segment is selected, the announcement will be sent to all Talent Scouts.

If you are unsure whether segmentation is enabled for your account, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Preview an Announcement

You can preview an announcement before publishing.

The preview displays:

  • The Title
  • The Body content
  • Management details such as segment and schedule

The branded email header and footer are not included in the preview.

Choose When to Send

When creating an announcement, you can choose:

  • Send Now - the announcement is published immediately.
  • Schedule - select a future date and time. Scheduling uses UTC timezone.
  • Save Draft - store the announcement without publishing.

Scheduled and Draft announcements can be edited before they are published.

After Publishing

Once an announcement is published:

  • It cannot be edited.
  • There is no option to delete a published announcement.

If you need to reuse content from a previous announcement, you can use the Clone option to create a new draft.

No confirmation message appears after publishing.

Review Announcement Status

After saving or publishing, the announcement appears in the list view.

Statuses include:

  • Draft - not visible to Talent Scouts.
  • Scheduled - will publish at the selected date and time.
  • Published - visible to the selected audience.

Language Availability

If multiple languages are enabled for your account, you may select the language when creating an announcement.

Available languages depend on your account configuration. If a language does not appear, it may not be activated.

If an announcement is not available in a user’s selected language, it will display in the company’s default language.

If you need additional languages enabled, contact your Customer Success Manager.
